Lena Ustymenko, U of L's 17-year-old sophomore,was named Conference USA Player of the Week honors for the period ending Nov. 16. The Cardinals completed their regular season conference play with a pair of wins over South Florida and UAB after beating Kentucky on Monday.

Ustymenko led the Cardinals to a 3-0 record last week with wins over Kentucky, South Florida and UAB. She also helped Louisville clinch a share of the C-USA regular season title. For the week, Ustymenko tallied a hitting percentage of over .300 in all three matches. Against USF, she registered 19 kills and only three errors for a .432 attack percentage, while adding five digs and two block assists. For the week, she averaged 4.9 kills, 5.6 points and 2.0 digs per game.
