March 15, 2007

The University of Louisville volleyball team has completed four days of practice, with two swimming workouts, two weight training days as Spring Break 2007 continues.

The Cardinals took advantage of our day off yesterday by being at sophomore-to-be and Florida native Justine Landi's house for some homecooking and recreation.

The team is looking forward to two more days of training before the tournament. U of L will practice from 2:30-5:30pm everyday and have the swimming and weight training workouts in the earlier in the mornings at 8:30am.

Coach Leonid Yelin, who once coached in Miami at Barry University has shown his team the sights as the Cardinals have been down to South Beach for a night for dinner and some sun time on the beach.

Dee and Mike Landi, parents of Justine, had the team over for dinner, swimming, and playing sand volleyball in their backyard. As pictured, the team enoyed ribs and had "dirt cake" a concoction of oreos and whip cream.
