2010: Emily was named BIG EAST Tournament MVP and was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Named to the Louisville Invitational All-Tournament
Team. Opened her collegiate career with a team-high 13 digs against the Bison. Second on the team with 308 kills (2.68/set) and is fourth on the team with 171 digs. Led the team with 31 aces. Recorded a double-double against the Bobcats with 11 kills and 10 digs,following that up with her second double-double on the season against the Wildcats (12 kills / 10 digs). Had the match-winning kill against Ohio. Set a new career-high with 16 kills during the match against CSU Bakersfield. Posted her third double-double of the season against Butler, finishing with 15 kills and a career-high 16 digs. Returned to action during the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge after missing the match against Wright State due to injury. Recorded 11 kills to go along with seven digs against Purdue to go along with 11 kills and four digs against #5 Illinois. Finished the Rutgers match with 13 kills to go along with seven digs. Recorded the Cards second-highest hitting percentage of the season
against the Scarlet Knights, finishing with .524. Added six digs and six kills to her totals against Seton Hall. Totaled seven kills and seven digs at Connecticut to go along with five kills against St. John's. Tied her career-high with 16 digs against Notre Dame en route to her fourth double-double of the season. Also recorded 12 digs against the Fighting Irish. Finished the Notre Dame match with a
.406 hitting percentage. Recorded 11 kills to go along with seven digs in the Cards home match against DePaul. Named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Oct. 11. Recorded seven kills and six digs to go along with three blocks against Cincinnati. Recorded three kills against Lipscomb, while adding two kills and four digs against Georgetown. Recorded her 150th career kill against the Hoyas. Added 12 kills and set a career-high with five aces against USF. Totaled 13 kills in 29 total attempts at #22 Tennessee. Added 10 kills and nine digs against Villanova, narrowly missing her fifth-career double-double. Recorded 10 kills while hitting .409 at Pittsburgh. Totaled a career-high and tied the BIG EAST Conference season-high with seven aces at West Virginia. Closed out the Mountaineers with five straight service aces. Also added 13 kills to go along with eight digs while hitting .478 in Morgantown.
Named BIG EAST Freshmen of the Week on Nov. 8 for her performance at Pittsburgh and
West Virginia. Recorded 15 kills at Marquette, following it up with 12 at Syracuse. Posted eight kills to go along with seven digs during the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament. Added two aces and two blocks against the Pirates. Recorded 10 kills to go along with eight digs while hitting .286 against Marquette during the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. Scorched the Bearcats with three aces to
go along with 13 kills and three blocks during the BIG EAST Championship match. Added 13 kills to go along with a dig against Austin Peay during the BIG EAST/OVC Showdown.
High School: Emily Juhl, an outside hitter from Sacred Heart was named to the AAU National All-American team in 2005, 2006,2007, and 2009. She was named the Most Valuable Player at the AAU National Tournament in 2006 and the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association named her to the All-State First Team the past three seasons. She was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Junior Volleyball Directors Association National Showcase and National Finals in 2008. She was a member of the PrepVolleyball.com National High School All-American Team in 2008. She was also named one of the Top 40 Senior Aces in 2009. Emily is a member
of the Kentucky State All-Tournament Team in 2008 and 2009 and is a four-time
member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association All-State Academic Team. She
is the recipient of the 2009 Region 7 Player of the Year Award. She was a member of the MAVA club team that won the AAU National Tournament in 2006, and placed second in 2007 and third in 2009. This team also placed second at the inaugural JVDA National Finals in 2008. She was named a Fab 50 recruit and was the state MVP for Field Events, finishing second in the high jump.
