2001: Appearing in 112 games, Sarah had 28 service aces and 261 digs. Her acrobatic defense and aggressive serving have long made her a crowd and media favorite, who have come to appreciate her expertise in this unsung heroic role for the Cardinals. Her work ethic in the weight room is exemplary as she
takes a leadership role for the Cards. She had five aces against Missouri-Kansas City and had 17 digs against both Cincinnati and DePaul. Her best outing came in the five-game NCAA win against Georgia Tech when she had 20 digs.
2000: Sarah played in 33 matches in 91 total games as a defensive specialist. She dug 169 balls and had 22 aces. She also competed in the triple jump for the Cardinal track team.
1999: Sarah played in 30 matches in 102 total games as the Cardinals' acrobatic defensive specialist. An aggressive server, Sarah had 22 aces including three against Notre Dame. She had 235 digs. A setter in high school, she stepped in and set against Cincinnati before Jing Ding was cleared to play. She had two aces against five opponents.
High School: She played for coach Tracey Burba at Pleasure Ridge Park. She lettered in track, basketball and volleyball. Sarah helped PRP to a regional title in 1998. She was honorable mention all-state in 1996 before moving up to second team all-state in 1997. In 1998, she was named first team all-state. She was a three-time all-region selection. In basketball, Sarah was a two-time all-region pick. In 1999, she was named to the honorable mention all-state squad.
