Cards fall 4-3 in marathon heartbreaker

Fall 2009: Stefanie was a semi-finalist in singles at Mizzou's Ace for a Cure. She was a finalist in doubles at Mizzou as well. She advanced to the semi-finals at the University of Kentucky Invitational in singles. She was in the Main Draw at the ITA Regionals. At the Western Michigan Super Challenge, she beat her opponent from Indiana.

High School: Stefanie Villajuan joins U of L women's tennis from Troy High School, where she helped guide her team to the quarter finals of the CIF (California Interscholastic Federation). Villajuan earned the All-American Tournament Player award last October when her team participated in the All-American Tournament. She was ranked the 2009 Women's Athlete of the Year at Troy High School, and the Freeway League Women's Co-Athlete of the Year.

Personal: Daughter of Marcy and Arnold Villajuan. Born May 7, 1991. Major is chemistry.
