LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville softball team has announced its 2007-08 fall schedule. The Cards will travel to Hendersonville, Tenn., for the Worth Club K September Slam Sept. 21-23. Other teams in the tournament field include: Alabama-Huntsville, Lipscomb University, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State and Trevecca Nazarene. U of L will host the Courtyard Marriott Louisville Airport Softball Fall Tournament Sept. 29-30 at Ulmer Stadium. Several area teams will take part in the fall tournament including: Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky and Western Kentucky.

U of L finished the 2007 season with a 37-25 record after winning the BIG EAST tournament and advancing to the NCAA regionals for the fourth time in the program's eight year history. The Cards return 12 letterwinners from last year's team, including all-BIG EAST Conference team members Kristi Cunningham, Kassie Stanfill, Brittany York and Kristen Wadwell.
