Tim Nowak opens his fourth season as an assistant coach for the University of Louisville's women's soccer team. His responsibilities include working with the goalkeepers as well as assisting in recruiting, team travel, scheduling and academic performance.

"Tim continues to do a wonderful job with our goalkeepers and he has been instrumental in the building of our Cardinal program," observed Head Coach Karen Ferguson.

"He is very committed to the development of our players as both students and athletes and he continues to challenge them to be their best. As we move forward to the Big East we will encounter a much higher level of soccer and I know Tim will have our goalkeepers prepared." Ferguson continued.

Nowak is active with many local youth organizations where he is involved in coaching education through the Kentucky Soccer Association.

Nowak, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, spent the previous two years at Western Illinois University as a graduate assistant. He has spent time assisting at soccer camps at the University of Texas, Santa Clara and Indiana University, as well as the Soccer Plus Goalkeeper Camp. Tim is also on the Kentucky ODP coaching staff, having most recently coached the 1987 Kentucky State Team at Region II camp in DeKalb, Illinois.

He played at Western Illinois from 1993-1996 as a goalkeeper where he was a three-year starter. He was named to the conference all-academic team all four seasons in Macomb, Illinois.

Nowak coached the Javanon '89 girls team this past year helping guide them to a 21-4-3 record and a 2-1 record at the 2004 Region II Club Regionals in Rockford, IL. He has his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and NSCAA Level One goalkeeping license.

Born is St. Louis, Nowak attended Parkway West High School, where he played soccer, baseball and volleyball.
