Captained the Cards her senior season, and was one of the steadiest players on the roster during her four-year stay. She started 62 matches, playing in 65, only missing time on the field due to an injury her junior season. She has seven goals and 12 assists during her career. Hailing from From Barrington, Illinois, her leadership in the back has helped the Cards lower it's goals against average every season she has been here going from 2.78 in 2001 to the record setting 0.85 in 2004. The final point of her career was an assist that set up the game winner in the first round of the C-USA Tournament. A member of the C-USA Commissioner's honor roll, she received her degree in biology in December 2005.
2003: Played in only 11 games due to injury. Started eight of those, tallying two assists. Both assists came in a 5-0 win over Morehead(9/7). Collected the primary assist on back-to-back goals in the most lopsided win of the season. Played on the back line as well as up front. Was a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2002: Lead the team in goals(5) and points(14), tying for the team lead in assists(4). Scored the game-winner and added another goal and assist in win over Youngstown State(9/7). Tied up the Houston match(9/22), scoring with just under nine minutes to play. Topped the squad in shots(47) and shots on goal(20). Was one of just two players to start every game for the Cards.
2001: Started all 17 games, missing just six minutes of the season as a true freshman, tying for fifth on the team in scoring. Her first career goal put the Cards up 1-0 over 12th-ranked Florida State(9/30) in Tallahassee. Scored her second goal four days later, tying Murray State 2-2 with a tally in the second half. Earned C-USA Commissioner's honor-roll, Commissioner's Medal and Red and Black Scholar Athlete awards as well as A.D. Honor Roll in her first collegiate season.
High School: A four-year letter winner in soccer and twice in cross country, earning All-State honors in both. Also All-Conference, All-Sectional, All-Area, captain and MVP in soccer. Scored 37 goals and added 39 assists in four years. Played club for the Eclipse for the past five years.
Personal: Born on 2/27/83 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Debra and Edward Martin. Is a biology major at U of L. Would like to go to med school after college. Her dream dinner guests would be her grandmother, Rick Pitino and Madonna. Her father swam for the Iowa Hawkeyes and is her biggest influence on her athletic career. Fellow Cardinal Mandy Rost was a club team teammate. Hobbies include water skiing. Steak fajitas is her favorite food and the Chicago Bears and the USA Women's National Soccer Team are her favorite teams.
