The US Rowing Princeton Training Center won the Championship 8+ title with a time of 15:26.572, followed by the London Training Center in second at 15:39.412. "I'm really proud of the effort from our team today in their first appearance in this championship level race," said Cards' head coach Laura Fogt. "The conditions and weather were perfect for rowing and it was a great race and a great event as always. Our rowers did a fantastic job and I'm proud of the way they represented the University of Louisville.

Now, we'll turn our focus to the Head of the Chattahoochee next week, where we'll see several ranked teams."

The Head of the Charles, hosted by the Cambridge Boat Club, is the largest two-day regatta in the world annually drawing nearly 300,000 spectators and 7,000 athletes to the banks of the Charles River.

Up next, the Cards will compete at the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta on Nov. 3-4 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
