Louisville Lacrosse to Open First Fall Season Saturday at Limestone Fall Fest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville lacrosse program will take to the field for the first time in the program's history on Saturday at the Limestone Fall Fest hosted by Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C. The event will open the Cards' fall, exhibition season as they prepare for the program's regular-season debut in February. The Cards' five-game schedule at the Limestone Fall Fest will begin at 10:15 a.m. ET against Belmont Abbey, followed by an 11:40 a.m., matchup against Queens University. U of L will then face the host Limestone College at 1:30 p.m., followed by a 2:10 game against Davidson and the final game is set for 3:40 against Lees McRae College. Following this week's event at Limestone, the Cards will continue their fall schedule on Oct. 6 at the Loyola Hound Round Robin in Baltimore, Md. The Cards' fall schedule will also include a game at Northwestern on Oct. 12 and they will host the Louisville Classic on Oct. 21 at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium, located on S. Floyd St., next to the new Yum! Center. The University of Louisville will officially begin varsity competition in lacrosse on Feb. 22, 2008 as they host Presbyterian College at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
