Louisville Lacrosse May 17th NCAA Statistical Ranking Report Get Acrobat Reader

For the third straight week, University of Louisville lacrosse individuals lead the nation in goals, goals per game, assist and assist per game. As a team, the Cardinals also remained second nationally in draw controls and fourth in scoring offense for the third straight week, while remaining second in ground balls per game and caused turnovers per game for the second consecutive week.

Junior attacker Bergan Foley has owned the goals per game crown for nine consecutive weeks, after not being in the top five in goals per game for the first three weekly statistical reports. She averaged 4.59 goals per game this season when she notched a career-best 78 goals. Foley was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team prior to the BIG EAST Tournament in Piscataway, N.J. She is currently one goal ahead of Erin Rawlick from the Navy who has notched 77 goals on the season, but was eliminated by No. 3 North Carolina 18-5 on Saturday during the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Katrina Dowd from No. 2 Northwestern currently is third nationally with 71 goals. Northwestern plays host to No. 7 Duke on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament after defeating Notre Dame 19-7 on Saturday. Foley remained fourth nationally with 4.94 points per game and is currently eighth with 84 points.

Sophomore midfielder Katie Oliverio leads the nation in assists and assists per game for the third straight week. She finished the season with 46 assists in 17 games, averaging 2.71 assists per game. Oliverio is currently 0.12 assists per game ahead of Katie Latonick from Quinnipiac and Meghan Lawler from Colgate, as well as at least 0.56 assists per game ahead of individuals remaining in the NCAA Tournament. Oliverio remains one assist ahead of Denver's Lexi Sanders for the national lead and is three assists ahead of Tee Ladouceur from Syracuse who remained in the NCAA Tournament following their 15-8 triumph over Georgetown in a rematch of the BIG EAST Championship Final. Oliver is currently 12th nationally with 4.41 points per contest and 17th in the nation with 75 points.

Emily Dashiell remained eighth nationally in draw controls, averaging 3.71 per contest en route to her 63 draw controls. Dashiell was named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team in each of the past two seasons. Dashiell also remained 22nd nationally with 1.76 caused turnovers per contest.

Senior Ashley King led U of L with 2.82 ground balls per contest, a mark good for 17th nationally after being ranked 18th for the past two weeks. King is currently 0.01 ground balls per game behind the 16th place individual. She received All-BIG EAST Second Team honors this season and was named to the final BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll of the season.
