LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The unbeaten University of Louisville lacrosse team will take to the road for the first time in the program's history as the Cards will play five games in 10 days during the university's spring break. Louisville will open the trip on Friday at noon ET at St. Joseph's (2-2) in Philadelphia, Pa.

Overall, the Cards will play their next six games on the road after opening their inaugural season with three straight at home. During the season-opening home stand, the Cards earned a 3-0 record with dominating wins over Bryant University, Manhattan College and Robert Morris University. In the three wins, the Cards had an average margin of victory of 15, while averaging more than 20 goals per game.

Leading the way for the Cards through the first three games has been first-year attacker Bergan Foley with 14 goals, including a U of L record six goals in the win over Manhattan. First-year midfielder Emily Dashiell and first-year attacker Liz Lovejoy have scored nine goals each through the first three games, while first-year attacker Tara Restly leads the Cards with eight assists.

The road trip to Philadelphia and the surrounding area will present a new set of challenges for head coach Kellie Young and her coaching staff as the Cards' 24-player roster includes 20 first-year college athletes who will be making their first regular-season collegiate road trip this week.

Following Friday's game at St. Joe's, the Cards will stay in Philly to face La Salle on Sunday at 3 p.m. The spring break road trip will continue on Tuesday against Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., and on Friday (March 14) at 7 p.m., against BIG EAST member Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J. The road trip will conclude on Sunday (March 16) back in Philly against Villanova.

The Cards will complete the stretch of six-straight on the road on Friday, March 21 at Virginia Tech. Following the game in Blacksburg, the Cards will have more than week off before returning to action at home on Sunday, March 30 against No. 9 ranked Georgetown.
