Eugene, Ore. - Louisville's Cindy LaCrosse fell in the second round of match play of the US Women's Amateur on Thursday afternoon. LaCrosse entered the eighteenth hole all even. She lost the hole to Erynne Lee, losing 1 up.

LaCrosse defeated Pennapa Pulsawath 9 and 7, by nine strokes with seven holes left, to advance to the round of 32. She finished the first two rounds of stroke play tied at 19th with a score of 146. She shot a 74 in the first round and a 72 in the second round.

LaCrosse won her qualifier at the Cincinnati Country Club on July 7. She shot a 70 for the win and a spot in the field.
