Louisville, Ky. - Three players from the University of Louisville will participate in the upcoming U.S. Women's Amateur held at the Eugene Country Club. Senior Cindy LaCrosse, sophomore Sara-Maude Juneau and freshman Maria Castellanos will play for the title.

LaCrosse won her qualifier at the Cincinnati Country Club on July 7. LaCrosse shot a 70 for the win and a spot in the field. Castellanos finished second at the Hammock Creek Golf in Palm City, Fla. She shot a 71 to finish second and earn a spot in the field. Juneau is one of 42 players that earned an exemption. Her exemption came after finishing in the final 16 of the tournament last year.

They will participate in 36-holes of stroke play qualifying which will begin Monday, Aug. 4 and runs thru Tuesday, Aug. 5. After the 36-holes the top 64 players will advance to match play which begins Wednesday, Aug. 6 where they will play two rounds of 18 holes. The finals will be played on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Castellanos' tee time is set for 7:35 a.m. Monday morning. LaCrosse will tee off at 8:36 a.m. while Juneau will tee off at 9:25 a.m.
