Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will be hosting Bradley in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational on Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall.

"We are excited to have the opportunity to continue playing this season," said head coach Jeff Walz. "This is also a chance for LaToya Johnson and Nikki Burton to get back on the court after missing the majority of the season with injuries. "

This is the first season for the Women's Basketball Invitational which was developed for NCAA Division I Women's teams who wish to continue their season but who do not qualify for the NCAA tournament. The 16 team event will take place over two weeks with all games being played on campus sites.

The first round matchups will take place on March 17-18 at home sites with the Championship game tentatively scheduled for March 27 or 28.

Tickets will be on sale for $5 at the Louisville Athletic Ticket Offices located in the Student Activities Center or Papa John's Ticket Office located across from the stadium. All transactions at the door on game day will be cash only. You may also purchase advance tickets through Ticket Master.
