Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team made school history on Monday evening as they earned their first NCAA Tournament bid. The Cardinals will host Duke in the first. Should the Cardinals advance to the second round, they will face fifth seeded Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.

"It's a great moment for our team.," said head coach Ken Lolla. "We worked very hard to get this all year long. It's wonderful for our program, being able to make the NCAA tournament for the first time. Our goal is to make the most out of this opportunity."

The Cardinals finished this season with their first winning season since 2003. Louisville finished second in the BIG EAST Red Division and advanced to the BIG EAST semifinals before falling to No. 1 Connecticut.

Head Coach Ken Lolla will face his former coach John Rennie in his last season at Duke. Lolla was considered one of the finest midfielders in the Atlantic Coast Conference, earning all-conference honors three times and earned All-South and All-America honors in 1981 and 1983 while at Duke University.

Lolla returned to Duke as an assistant coach in 1985 and then again for the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
