Pinehurrst, N.C. - After 36 holes of stroke play at the United States Amateur Open, the University Louisville have two golfers who have advanced to the match play portion of the event.

The tournament began with 312 golfers competing to make the top 64 after two rounds of stroke play. Derek Fathauer was low Cardinal with scores of 69-71--140 (-1) to tie for 10th place overall. He will his first round match against Jhonattan Vegas of Venezuela at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Senior Adam Hadwin also qualified for match play with scores of 72-71--143 to tie for 33rd. His first round match is against Mike McCoy of Iowa at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday

Karsten Clements (72-75--147) tied for 109th place and incoming freshman Connor Arendell tied for 209th with scores of 76-75--151.
