Louisville, Ky. - Sophomore Karsten Clements, incoming freshman Connor Arendell and senior Adam Hadwin of the University of Louisville men's golf team qualified for the U.S. Amateur, which will be held at Pinehurst from August 18-24.

Clements was co-medalist with a score of 66-71=137. Arendell ended up as medalist at his sectional qualifying site. He had rounds of 67-71=138 to win by three shots. This will be his third consecutive trip to the us amateur championship. Derek Fathauer is exempt thru qualifying after being a quarter-finalist in last year's championship.

Hadwin also qualified for the U.S. Am next month after he shot 140 at Chambers Bay in Seattle, Wash. on July 29 to earn the medalist spot.
