Louisville, Ky - Senior University of Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm has been named to the preseason watch list for the Manning Award, which is given to the nation's top college quarterback.

The award is sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl and is in honor of the achievements by Archie, Peyton, and Eli Manning.

Brohm completed 63.7 percent of his passes last season, good for 3,049 yards and 16 touchdowns, despite missing two games due to injury. He guided the Cardinals to their best season ever, including 12 wins, a BIG EAST title and a win in a BCS bowl game, in which he was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Brohm also is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, given to the national player of the year.
