Pitino Previews Wednesday's Exhibition Opener against Georgetown College

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino met with members of the media on Tuesday at the Yum! Center to preview Wednesday's exhibition opener against Georgetown College. The Cards and Tigers will tip off at 7:07 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised by WHAS-TV in Louisville. Georgetown posted a 27-5 record last season and was ranked 10th in the final NAIA poll. The Tigers, which have three starters who hail from the city of Louisville, won their opener 115-47 over Temple Baptist on Oct. 22 as Vic Moses led six players in double figures with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Georgetown shot 60.7 percent from the field in that game while limiting Temple Baptist to 19.4 percent accuracy. The win put Georgetown Coach Happy Osborne one victory shy of 400 for his career. This is the first of two exhibition games for the Cards. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, U of L will host cross-city foe Bellarmine at 7:07 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall. Louisville will open regular-season play on Nov. 17 against Arkansas in the Hall of Fame Showcase in St. Louis, Mo.
