Sophomore Year:

  • Closed the season with 12 points and two assists off the bench against North Carolina in the NCAA East Region finals.
  • Matched a season-high with 18 points at Pittsburgh (7-of-11 FG, 3-of-4 three-point goals), scoring 15 in the first half.
  • Scored 10 points and handed out four assists against Notre Dame.

  • Drove the length of the floor and hit a driving layup at the buzzer against West Virginia to send the game into overtime. He scored eight in the game.
  • Made the BIG EAST Honor Roll March 5 after totalling 18 points (7-of-11 FG, 4-of-5 3FG), two assists and no turnovers vs. Seton Hall.
  • Led the Cardinals with 15 points and three steals at Marquette. He produced three or more steals in seven games as a freshman.
  • Led the Cardinals with 19 points and four steals against Syracuse.
  • Had 20 points, five steals and four assists vs. Providence.
  • Handed out a season-high eight assists vs. San Francisco while scoring 18 points.

  • Ranked No. 38 in the nation by The Hoop Scoop, No. 51 by RivalsHoops, 52nd by Van Coleman, 56th by Bob Gibbons' All-Star Sports, 57th by Scout.com, and No. 71 by USA Today recruiting analyst Rob Harrington.
  • Twice honored as a first team All-Manhattan selection by the New York Daily News and an all-tri-state selection. He was a second team all-state selection as a junior.
  • Like former U of L All-American Francisco Garcia, Sosa is originally from the Dominican Republic. He played for his country's junior national team in the summer of 2005 before joining Garcia on the Dominican Republic national team.
