Freshman Chane Behanan finished the game with 20 points on 10-of-18 shooting for the Red Team.

This Year:

  • Will sit out the 2011-12 season after transferring from George Mason with two years of eligibility remaining.

  • Averaged 10.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and a team-high 4.3 assists as a sophomore last season in helping George Mason post a 27-7 record and reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
  • Connected on 49.4 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from 3-point range, and 81 percent at the free throw line.
  • Totaled 18 points, five assists and three rebounds against Villanova in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament and his three-pointer with 21 seconds left put the Patriots ahead for good in a 61-57 victory.
  • Third-team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection as a sophomore when he scored in double figures on 19 occasions and handed out five or more assists 11 times.
  • Earned all-rookie team honors in the CAA as a freshman when he averaged 7.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the Patriots. He gathered 59 steals in his initial two collegiate seasons.

High School:

  • Played high school basketball at Hidden Valley High School before playing for current UofL assistant Kevin Keatts for one season at Hargrave Military Academy when it was the national prep runner-up.
  • Earned all-state honors while at Hidden Valley and was selected to the all-tournament team at the National Prep Tournament with Hargrave.
  • All-Timesland selection as a senior at Hidden Valley High School in 2007-08 when he averaged 13.9 points and 7.1 rebounds and helped the Titans reach the state AA semifinals for the second straight season.
  • Before selecting UofL, Hancock also considered transferring to Michigan, South Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Personal:

  • Born Jan. 30, 1990 ... Son of Venicia and William Hancock ... Has four brothers and a sister (Will, Matt, Robert, Stephen and Melissa) ... Major is business.
  • Personal goal at UofL is to "graduate, play hard and have fun."
  • Enjoys watching movies, playing video games, golf and hanging out with friends in his spare time.
  • Chose to attend UofL because of the basketball program, Coach Pitino, Coach Keatts and his family.
  • Best basketball advice given to him was "if he can do it, why can't you?"
  • Few people know that he hates to lose in anything.
  • Most proud of playing for UofL.
  • His parents have had the greatest influence on his athletic career.
  • Feels Gerald Butler would be the best actor to play him in a movie.
  • Wanted to wear No. 11 because Kyle Kuric was already wearing his preferred No. 14.
  • Best moment of his athletic career to date was beating Villanova in the 2011 NCAA Tournament and coming to UofL.
  • If you walked into his dorm room, the first thing you would notice is his TV.
  • Best thing about being a Cardinal is "the support from the community."
  • What impresses him the most about Coach Pitino: his demeanor and knowledge of the game.
  • Would most like to meet Dirk Nowitzki.
