LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following last week's 3-0 road swing, the Louisville baseball team returns home this week to host a pair of important mid-week games against Big Ten power and No. 25 ranked Ohio State on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET, and Wednesday at noon at Jim Patterson Stadium and admission is free for both games.

The two-game, mid-week series is an important for both Louisville and Ohio State as both teams continue to build their NCAA resumes for potential NCAA Regional bids. The Buckeyes are ranked No. 25 in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 30 and No. 27 in the latest Collegiate Baseball News Top 30, and both OSU and Louisville are receiving votes in this week's USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Cardinals enter the final two weeks of the regular-season at 32-13 overall and in second place in the BIG EAST Conference standings at 14-6. Last week, Louisville earned an 11-2 win at rival Kentucky and two more wins at Villanova (10-4, 9-2) before Sunday's finale was rained out.

Ohio State will bring an impressive 34-11 record to town on Tuesday after winning two of three games over the weekend at Michigan. The Buckeyes are only one game behind Big Ten leader Illinois with a 13-5 conference mark.

Last season, Louisville earned a 13-12 win over Ohio State in Columbus in the first meeting between the two schools since 1992. Overall, the Cardinals trail the overall series with the Buckeyes 3-2.

Wednesday is Elementary School Day at Jim Patterson Stadium
Fans are reminded that Wednesday's game is the second Elementary School Day at Jim Patterson Stadium this season and there will be limited reserved seats available. The Cards hosted their first Elementary School Day this season on March 16 as a crowd of 2,203 watched Louisville earn an 11-7 win over Iowa.
