Twice robbed opponents of home runs on catches in the outfield, including a play at Southern Miss in the fourth inning of a 7-6 Cardinal lead. With a runner at third, USM third baseman Allen Winningham drove a ball over the wall in the left-center field gap that Williams brought back for the third out of the inning to a standing ovation by the Pete Taylor Park fans. Williams was second on the team with a .345 average in C-USA games. Hit his first career home run at ECU(5/17). His 16-game hit streak was the longest by a Cardinal. Also had an eight-game streak. Had the majority of at-bats in the seven spot late in the season where he hit .455.
