Summer 2011: Went 5-1 with 11 saves in 27 relief appearances for the Thomasville HiToms in the Coastal Plain League. He had 40 strikeouts in 40.1 innings of work and an ERA of 4.02 while earning league All-Star honors.

2011: Finished 3-1 with a 2.60 ERA in 19 appearances and five starts. Had career-best 10 strikeouts while allowing just two runs on seven hits in 6.0 innings in the starting role to earn the win over Pittsburgh in the BIG EAST Championship. Suffered first loss as a Cardinal despite allowing only two runs on five hits in 6.1 innings against Notre Dame on May 21. Was terrific while finishing with a no-decision at No. 15 UConn on May 14 when he allowed only three hits in career-long 6.1 innings of shutout baseball in the starting role. Made his second start of the season and pitched a scoreless first inning against Vanderbilt. Made first start of the season on May 3 against EMU and was outstanding with 5.0 shutout innings and three strikeouts. Pitched 1.0 inning of shutout relief in Cards' April 30 win over Georgetown. Came out of the bullpen with 2.2 innings of shutout relief on April 12 and allowed only two hits with two strikeouts. Pitched 1.1 innings of perfect relief with career best three strikeouts to earn the win at Cincinnati on April 9. Allowed one run on five hits with one strikeout in 1.1 innings of relief at Rutgers on March 27. Gave the Cardinals 3.0 innings of shutout relief on March 18 against Xavier. Pitched 1.2 innings of shutout relief at Pepperdine on March 13. Earned his first career save as a Cardinal by recording the final out of U of L's 1-0 win over Kent State on March 6. Made debut as a Cardinal on March 1 allowing one run on four hits with three strikeouts in 2.0 innings of relief against Morehead State.

Before U of L: Tingle earned Second Team All-Conference as a sophomore at Cleveland State after finishing with a 7-4 record, a 4.07 ERA and 73 strikeouts. He was Third Team All-Conference as a freshman with a 5-2 mark with a 3.60 ERA and 63 strikeouts.

High School: He earned All-State Honorable Mention as prep senior and was a two-time All-Region and All-District selection at Butler High School, where he was coached by Greg Lauder. He was also named to East/West Team during junior and senior seasons. During his senior prep season, Tingle was 3-3 on the mound with one save while hitting .403 with six home runs and 38 RBI at the plate.

Personal: Born Travis Marshall Scott Tingle on Oct. 4, 1989, in Jefferson County, Ky. Son of Troy and Jeanella Tingle. Has one sibling, Trey. Majoring in sport administration at the University of Louisville. After college, he plans to continue in sports by possibly getting drafted or doing something with the behind-the-scenes aspects of baseball. Person with the greatest influence on his athletic career is Jimmy Smith, who really started to push him in his junior and senior year of high school. Hobbies and outside interests include playing baseball, lifting, running and hanging out with friends. Favorite movies are Sandlot, Rookie of the Year and Summer Catch. Enjoys watching ESPN, Baseball Tonight and Law & Order SVU. Favorite athletes are Dan Haren, Josh Hamilton, CC Sabathia, Ken Griffey, Jr. and Nick Swisher. Favorite cereals are Cocoa Puffs and Reese's Puffs. Favorite candy is Snickers and Peanut M&Ms. Favorite foods are fried chicken, pasta and chicken parmesan. Enjoys eating at Smokey Bones and O'Charley's. Favorite teams are the Oakland Athletics, Tennessee Titans and LA Dodgers. Enjoys listening to rap, hip-hop, Lil Wayne, Drake, Mike Posner, Wiz Khalifa, T.I. and Kid Cudi. Favorite quote is "Play like you're in first, train like you're in second." If he could eat dinner with three other people he would pick Josh Hamilton and two of his friends who have passed away, Travis Webb and Joey Carter. Some things not many people know about Travis are he can cook, all the songs on his iPod have to be categorized and he hates roller coasters.
