2005: Saw limited duty his final season of college ball. The team was 2-0 in his only two starts. Singled in three trips in Senior Day win over UAB (5/21). Smoked a pinch double, and was hit by a pitch, scoring a run and driving in one in win over Wright State (5/16). Started at DH in win over Miami (3/6b), scoring once and driving in a run.

2004: Saw action in 36 games in the outfield and at third base. Went 2 for 5 with an RBI in win at USF(5/21). Picked up singles in the eighth and ninth, scoring twice in win at UK(5/5). Went 2 for 4 with three RBI at EKU(4/28). Was 2 for 3 with two ribs against ECU(4/25). Went 2 for 3 with three runs and a bases-loaded double in win over Marshall(3/30). Was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored in win over UC(3/28). Laced a pinch single in win over Murray(3/16). Went 2 for 4 with his first home run of the season and an RBI single, helping the Cards to a 10-1 win over Kent(3/7). Singled home a run against Kent(3/6).

2003: Was 2 for 6 as a pinch hitter with four RBI. Doubled home a run in the win at Memphis(3/16). Blasted his first career home run, going opposite field in the win over WKU(3/11) with one on. Drove in three in the game. Entered as a pinch runner in the eighth inning of a tie ball game at Tennessee(3/5) and scored the winning run. Picked up his first collegiate hit, run and RBI in the Cards' doubleheader sweep of the Huskies(2/22). Member of AD Honor Roll and Dean's List.

2002: Redshirted. Member of AD and C-USA Honor Roll, as well as Red and Black Scholar.

High School: Another product from the hotbed of baseball talent that is Tampa. A three-year letterwinner in baseball for the Tigers, he lead Jesuit to a State Championship in the 2000 season. Took a home run away from the leadoff man with a catch in center and later tripled in the title game while being named MVP.

Personal: Born 9/20/82 in Tampa, Florida to Daniel and Nilda Plasencia. Majoring in business management at U of L and would like to attend law school. "Tuto" was a bat boy for Head Coach Lelo Prado when Prado won the Division II National Championship at Tampa. His parents had the greatest influence on his athletic career. Cuban and Italian are among his favorite foods. Would like to have dinner with Jesus, John Gruden and James McAuley. Favorite teams are the Yankees and the Buccaneers, favorite movies are Rudy, Jerry McGwire and Dumb and Dumber. His greatest thrill was winning the state title in 2000 at Jesuit. Likes vacationing with friends and family and dining out in his spare time. Listens to classic rock and country music.
