2003: Started 24 games for the Cards. Pinch hit in the ninth in a tie game and drew a bases-loaded walk in the Cards win at Cincinnati(4/11). Tripled and scored in three at bats against SLU(4/6). Went 2 for 3 with an RBI double and threw out a runner at second in the first, helping set the tone for the win at Evansville(4/1). Blasted a pinch hit two-run double in the ninth at Western(3/25) that just missed leaving the park to tie the game. Was 2 for 3 with an RBI in win over Western(3/11). On base all three times against Illinois(3/9), walking twice and getting hit by a pitch. Also threw out a baserunner at second. Enjoyed a solid two-game set at Tennessee with a 3 for 5 effort at the plate, scoring two and driving in two while drawing three walks and getting hit by a pitch. A member of the AD Honor Roll.

2002: Hit .400 with 14 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 30 runs scored, 31 walks, three steals and 44 RBI at Western Nebraska Community College. Second team All-Conference in region nine in 2002.

2001: Played in just six games as a freshman for Florida International, starting four as a freshman.

High School: Prepped at Coral Park High School in Miami, Florida, earning three letters in baseball as a catcher. Named to the All-County team all three seasons. Hit .448 with five home runs and a Coral Park single season record 48 RBI, lifting him to team MVP honors. Followed up with a .360 average, three home runs and 35 RBI as a senior. Won gold glove awards as a sophomore and senior. Team advanced to the state final four in Florida during the 1997 season. Hit game winning home run in the 10th inning of the district quarterfinals that season.

Personal: Born 1/15/82 in Miami, Florida to Julio and Maria Pardo. Major is marketing at U of L. Has two sisters. His parents are the greatest influence on him. His hobbies and interests include golf, collecting magazines, dancing, going out, watching ball games and playing dominoes. Enjoys Friends, Nip Tuck and Baseball Tonight as well as the movies Braveheart, Gladiator, Scarface and Ocean's Eleven. Pudge Rodriguez is his favorite athlete and the Florida Marlins are his favorite team. Likes Spanish food and Captain Crunch. Would like to dine with his grandmother, "because she was a big part of my life." Would like to play golf with Al Pacino.
