2011: Was 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 21 appearances, including two starts. Allowed only two unearned runs on two hits with three strikeouts in 3.2 innings in just the second start of his career in the Cardinals' win over St. John's in the BIG EAST Championship. Came out of the bullpen for 1.0 inning of scoreless relief against No. 1 Vanderbilt. Provided career-best 5.2 innings of shutout relief with career-high five strikeouts on May 5 at Seton Hall. Pitched 3.1 innings of shutout relief in U of L's May 1 win over Georgetown. Came out of the bullpen for 3.0 innings of scoreless relief with a career best three strikeouts. Pitched 2.0 innings of shutout relief against USF on April 22. Was saddled with second loss of the season after allowing just one earned run on one hit in 2.1 innings of relief against Indiana on April 19. Pitched 2.0 innings of shutout relief at St. John's on April 15. Suffered first loss of his career after allowing one earned run and five total runs on three hits at WKU on April 5. Threw a pair of shutout innings of relief against WVU on April 2. Pitched 3.0 shutout innings of relief in Cards' March 22 win over Kent State. Was terrific in collegiate debut allowing just one hit with one strikeout in 3.0 innings of shutout relief to earn the win against Minnesota on Feb. 20.

High School: Green, who was selected in the 37th Round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays, was a three-time All-Conference selection, a two-time All-Area honoree and was an All-State selection as a senior for Effingham High School and head coach Chris Fleener. As a senior, he was 9-2 on the mound with a 1.65 ERA and 107 strikeouts for Effingham's regional title winning team. He was named as his team's MVP and Cy Young winner as a junior with a 9-2 record on the mound with a 2.33 ERA, one save and 107 strikeouts as Effingham won another regional title. As a sophomore, he was 2-0 with a 1.26 ERA, one save and 44 strikeouts. He participated in the 2009 World Wood Bat Association World Championship and he played summer baseball for the St. Louis Pirates. He also earned three letters in basketball at Effingham HS.

Personal: Born Chad Keith Green on May 24, 1991, in Greenville, S.C. Son of Howard and Sheena Green. Has a twin brother, Chase, older sister, Lynsie and older brother, Blake. Majoring in sport administration at the University of Louisville. After graduation, he plans to play professional baseball. Person with the greatest influence on his athletic career is his dad, who always pushed him hard in everything he did. Hobbies and outside interests include playing sports and hanging out with friends. Favorite movies are The Hangover, The Blind Side and Superbad. Enjoys watching SportsCenter and That `70s Show. Favorite athletes are Ken Griffey, Jr., and Grant Hill. Favorite cereal is Lucky Charms. Favorite candy bar is Kit Kat. Favorite food is fettuccini Alfredo. Enjoys eating at Buffalo Wild Wings and Taco Bell. Favorite team is the Cincinnati Reds. Enjoys listening to all music.
