High School: Earned All-State, All-Metro and All-Conference honors at Lindbergh High School, where he was coached by Darin Scott. As a senior, he finished 7-0 on the mound with 95 strikeouts. Also earned All-Conference honors as a junior with a 4-3 record on the mound. Earned two letters in basketball as a center for Lindbergh High School.
Personal: Born Andrew James Flett on July 21, 1990 in St. Louis, Mo. Son of Tina and Michael Flett. Has one older brother, Alex. Undecided on a major at the University of Louisville. Biggest thrill in sports was winning the Perfect Game USA Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla. After college, he hopes to play professional baseball or go into teaching and become a coach. Person with the greatest influence on his athletic career is his father, who has always been there and is always trying to make him a better player. Hobbies and outside interests include playing Ping Pong, watching movies and hanging out with his brother and friends. Favorite movies are Paranormal Activity, Jay and Silent Bob and Waterboy. Favorite TV shows include That `70's Show, Family Guy and South Park. Favorite athletes are Albert Pujols and Adam Wainwright. Favorite cereal is Reese's Puffs. Favorite candy bar is Twix.
