2002: Tied for ninth in the conference with a team-high 16 doubles. Hit .300 with two triples, nine home runs and 38 RBI, while starting all 57 games in left field. Notched nine outfield assists despite playing in the spacious left-field corner at Cardinal Stadium and posted a .992 fielding percentage, making just one error. Was 8 for 11 on stolen bases and lead the team with seven bunt singles in eight attempts. Hit safely in his first 10 games of the season, driving in 14 and hitting four home runs. Failed to reach base in just two games. Had a 4 for 4 effort with three RBI against Butler(3/1) and was 3 for 4 with a double and two home runs while driving in four against Kent(3/8). Drove in five at Eastern Kentucky(5/1) on 3 for 5 effort. Tied for the team lead with 33 walks.

2001: Ranked 18th in the nation in average(.431), 6th in home runs(15) and 21st in RBI(51) and hit seven triples, setting school records in all four categories for the Cougars of Illinois Central College in Peoria. Josh also holds career records in all four categories. Drafted in the 40th round by the Boston Red Sox. Named first team All-Conference, All-Region and third team All-American. Was 3-1 with a save on the mound.

2000: Hit seven triples, four homeruns and drove in 44 runs while swiping 16 bases as a freshman at ICC. Member of the Dean’s List.

High School: Lettered three years in basketball and baseball at Pekin High School. Earned All-Conference honors once in basketball and three times in baseball. Also earned All-America honors and was a McDonald’s All-Star three times for the Dragons.

Personal: Born 5/5/80 in Pekin, Illinois to Connie Hohimer and Darin Bolen. Majoring in sports administration at U of L. One of five children. Likes to play disk golf in his spare time. Once jumped over an outfield fence trying to rob a home run. Favorite movie is The Rookie, favorite cereal is Golden Grahams. Didn't play baseball in junior high. Favorite teams are the Cubs and the Bears. Would like to dine with Sammy Sosa, Brian Urlacher and Michael Jordan.
