At U of L: Sean continues his reign as U of L's most successful diver. For a second consecutive year, he swept both springboards and the platform events at the C-USA meet and was again named Diver of the Meet. Sean was undefeated on both springboards during the regular season and was the champion on both boards at the Notre Dame Invitational. Crushing the 3-M and platform diving records which he had previously set last season was an amazing feat for this Olympic Hopeful. Sean's scores qualified him for the NCAA Zone B diving meet for his third consecutive year where he finished 24th on the 1m and 16th on the 3-M. In 2001, Sean was named Diver of the Year at the Midwest Championships after sweeping both boards. He placed 23rd in the 3-M event at NCAA Zone B Diving Championships that year.
High School: Sean, a native of New Zealand, lettered four years in diving, rugby and cricket at Wellington High School. He was Athlete of the Year in 1997, 1998, 1999 and was a National Diving Champion in 1997, 1998, 1999. Sean was the silver medalist on the 3-M and bronze medalist in the 1-M at the Australian National Diving Championship. The unprecedented diver finished 18th in the World Junior Championships in Calgary in 2000-01.
