Junior: Scott qualified for BIG EAST last season. He won the 1-meter board against WVU with a 270.37 and was runner up versus Cincinnati with a lifetime best of 298.50 also on the 1-meter board. Sophomore: Scott qualified for the BIG EAST Championship in his first year as a Cardinal. He set his personal best in the 1-meter board against Miami of Ohio. His best outing in the 3-meter board came at BIG EAST rival Cincinnati.

Prior to U of L: He came to Louisville as a transfer from Ohio University.

Prep: He attended William Mason High School where he was coached by Lori Rapp. He also competed for Tri-State diving for Paul Glassman. Sargent was a high school conference champion in diving and pole vault. He earned AAU All-American honors after placing eighth on the 3-meter board and tenth on the 1-meter board.

Personal: He is the son of Gregory and Annette Sargent. His major is mechanical engineering. He was born February 15, 1988.
