Showing her consistent versatility, Abby continued to be a major contributor for the Cardinals in 2007-08 season, raking up points in a wide array of events. She finaled in the 400-IM at the 2008 BIG EAST to add points for the Cards. She added valuable scoring power in the 100-fly against in-state rival Western Kentucky. As a sophomore, Abby scored a wealth of points for the Cardinals in several events. In addition, she participated in the US Open. Highlights from 2006-07 included wins in the 200-fly against Cincinnati, WVU, SIU, Tennessee and WVU. She set the pool record in the 200-fly versus WVU. She won the 400-IM against Tennessee, Kentucky and Iowa. Abby's versatililty was valuable in the Cardinal attack as she helped set the 200-medley relay record at the 2006 BIG EAST Championship. She reached the podium with a third in the 400-IM at the BIG EAST. She helped add points with a B-Final second place in the 200-IM and an 11th place finish in the 200-fly. She set her lifetime best in the 200-fly against Kentucky and turned in her best 500-free swim at the Indiana Invitational. She came to U of L from Diamond Bar High School. She swam for Industry Hills Aquatics for Coach Rick Shipherd. She is a high school conference record holder in the 100-breast, and set school records in seven events. She was a three-time USS National Top 16 Age-group swimmer and competed at Junior Nationals and Senior Nationals. She was recruited by Auburn, Michigan and Iowa.
