At U of L: Richard made an impact on Cardinal diving as a junior. He was the runner-up in both springboard events at the Falcon Invitational. He finished second in the platform event at the C-USA Championships beating his own best, third on the 1-M, and fourth on the 3-M. His leadership skills were recognized by the Cardinal Diving Team when he was named captain. As a sophomore, he placed second on the 1-M board and third in C-USA in both the 3M and platform diving events. As a freshman, he finished third in the 3-M board and fifth in the 1-M at the Midwest Championship.
High School: Richard hails from Eaglecrest HS where he dove four years for Coach Erik Seaver. The four-time state qualifier finished in the top four at state as a junior and senior. He is the school record holder for Eaglecrest.
