Robin Coates lends depth in the breast events for the Cardinals. Jumping right into the action during her first year as a Cardinal, Robin swam a wide range of events and gave the Cardinals a lift in the butterfly and breast events. She had a strong showing in the meet against Tennessee, scoring points in both the 100- and 200- butterfly events. Prior to UofL: Robin transferred in from Transylvania where she swam for the Pioneers and was a two-time Bluegrass Mountain Conference finalist in the 100- and 200-breast. She swam during her prep career for Ballard. Personal: She is the daughter of Andy and Linda Coates. Majoring in exercise science with aspirations of becoming a physical therapist. She was born Dec. 22, 1986.
