She finished third in the 100-free against Miami of Ohio with a time of 53.26. Grite swam a strong 50-free against Tennessee with a time of 24.60. Prep: Grite comes to U of L from Anyksciai, Lithuania. She is a multiple Baltic States champion and a multiple time Lithuanian Champion. She holds the Lithuanian women's records in the 50m-butterfly, the 4x100m freestyle relay, and the 4x100m medley relay. She began swimming competitively when she was eleven years old. Some of her academic achievements include "Mathematic Olympics" during her earlier years at school and she was elected a Best Sportswoman at school. Personal: Daughter of Remigijus Apanavicius and Asta Apanaviciene. She was born June 29, 1990. Her major is exercise science. Cardinal Highlight: Grite owns three Lithuanian women's National Records. |
