Christine Simatacolos

Christine Simatacolos is in her seventh year on the U of L staff and third as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Her responsibilities include monitoring the eligibility of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA, University of Louisville and Conference USA regulations.

Before taking her current post, she served as Associate Director for Academic Counseling for the Olga S. Peers Academic Center. She also completed her Masters degree in College Personnel Services at the University of Louisville while a graduate assistant in the same department from 1994-1996.

Before rejoining the Cardinals in 1998, she served as an Academic Coordinator at the University of Florida from 1996-1998 There she was responsible for monitoring the eligibility of student-athletes and coordinating registration services.

A 1993 graduate of Northwestern University, Simatacolos was a four-year letter winner in swimming. She participated in the 1990 & 1991 NCAA Championships, as well as the 1989 Olympic Festival and 1988 Olympic Trials.

A native of Carmel, Indiana, Christine is married to former University of Louisville football player, Jim Simatacolos and they have one daughter, Eleni.
