Mark Jurich, a former All-America outfielder for the Cardinals, is in his first year as Associate Athletic Director for Development on the UofL staff after serving a year as Assistant Athletic Director for Development.
Jurich joined the Cardinals' athletic staff in 2008, serving as Associate Director of Development. He had played professional baseball with the Atlanta Braves organization for five seasons after twice earning All-America honors as an outfielder for UofL.
He was two-time First Team All-Conference USA selection and was named to the Conference USA All-Decade Team spanning 1995 to 2005. He was also a freshman All-America selection in 2002.
Jurich, who still ranks in the Cardinals' career Top 10 in doubles, triples, home runs and RBI, was the first Louisville player to compete for the USA National Team, which won a silver medal at the 2002 FISU World University Baseball Championship and capturing the 2002 Haarlem Baseball Week Championship.
Following his collegiate career at Louisville, Jurich played professionally in the Atlanta Braves organization from 2004- 08 after being selected in the 13th Round of the MLB Draft.
He and his wife, Lainey, have a son, Jay Ryan.
