Biggest thrill in sports: When she scored 34 points, including the game-winning free throws with .5 seconds left, at the state tournament during her senior year in high school against current Maryland player Jade Perry. Athlete she most admires: Allen Iverson What impresses her most about her coach: That he has won a national championship! What has been her biggest obstacle to overcome: Two things...Her mother having breast cancer and not starting at the beginning of her playing career. What people should know about her but probably don't: She's better at softball and track than she is at basketball. If she could have dinner with three people (current, historical or fictional), who would it be: Michael Jordan, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Bugs Bunny Why she chose U of L: Because of the move to the best conference in the country, the BIG EAST! Best part of being an athlete: People know who you are and want your autograph. You have fans and aren't like everyone else. The moment she realized she was really good at her sport: When she played on the high school varsity team when she was in the 7th grade. If she won the lottery, she'd use the money for: A shopping spree and donate some to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation to help find a cure. |
